GEOFFREY BARCLAY

Trained as a Barrister-at-Law, called to the Bar at Grays Inn, Geoffrey Barclay has worked in Sweden, Italy, and the UK in training development roles, and as Managing Director in business development consultancies.
His work has taken him to most European countries and further afield to Russia and Canada and has helped him to obtain great experience in the setting up of training programmes, market entry and consultancy services. As a past President on two occasions of Brain International he is accustomed to representing companies and bodies internationally either as a front lead for negotiations or in a business development capacity. Furthermore Geoffrey has been active in training and business enterprises in the UK since 1998 being a firm believer in interregional partnership throughout Europe as a means of creating both opportunities and expert support services for SMEs and public organisations in a coordinated approach to internationalisation.
MALCOLM TROTTER

Following graduation in accounting and business management, Malcolm Trotter entered the travel industry and gained significant managerial and commercial experience with the entrepreneurial UK and international SAGA Group. From there he was appointed to the management team of a major College of Further and Higher Education with responsibility for vocational, management, Higher Education and EU funded programmes. Malcolm is currently the Chief Executive of the IAB, an international professional membership and education body in the accounting and small business sectors. He is also a member of the Advisory Board to the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI), the UK standard setting body for business enterprise and advice. Until April 2007 he was an Associate Inspector of the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) and has almost ten years experience as an inspector of state funded education and training. Additionally, Malcolm has been engaged by travel industry and education clients to provide consultancy regarding business strategy and development, training, funding, quality assurance and to conduct research.
ELENA CORDANI

A graduate of the Translation and Interpreter School of Trieste University (Italy), Elena Cordani is Chief Executive of Interlinguae, a leading translation and interpreting services company, which she founded in 1982 and is based in Parma, Italy. For many years actively involved in the Italian association of translation companies Federcentri, she was also the coordinator of the GL10 Translation Services at UNI, the Italian organisation for standardisation (the British equivalent being BSI). As such, she worked within the CEN Task Force in charge with the writing of the European standard for Translation Services (now EN 15038). Elena has been also a member of DIAM - the Commission for Documentation, Automatic Information, and Multimedia at UNI (Milan). Her translation company Interlinguae Srl is certified in compliance with ISO and EN 15038, of course, and provides translation services to leading global equipment manufacturers and exporters, mainly in the packaging, food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Elena is now developing Interlinguae ltd, the newly established English subsidiary of Interlinguae and is living at present in Oxford (England).
